It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Richard E. "Rick" Curry who entered into rest October 18, 2021 at AU Health Richmond.
Mr. Curry was a 1968 graduate of W. E. Parker High School and earned an Associates Degree from Augusta Technical College. He was a retired Analyst of Westinghouse Savannah River Site. He was a member of Old Macedonia Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife Betty LaBoard Curry; a son, Damien Curry; three brothers, Joseph (Dorothy) Curry, Clyde (Ernestine) Curry, and Yewston A. (LaVoris) Curry; a sister, Debra Faye Curry; one aunt, Janet Newsome; a granddaughter, Jasmine (Tarquez) Johnson; three great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
