Obituary
It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ret. Sgt. Robert Stephen West, Sr., who expired on January 20, 2023.
Mr. West was a Ret. Sgt., with the Richmond County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Newsome West; a son, Robert Stephen (Marjani) West, Jr.; a daughter, Sydney V. West; two brothers, Bobby (Dana) West and Michael West; two sisters, Roberta West and Clair West; mother-in-law, Janet Hall Newsome; godson, Nicholas Cummings, goddaughter, Madison Newsome; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, January 26, 2023 at The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church (720 Telfair Street, Augusta.) Interment will follow in Old Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
