Roosevelt Scott Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Roosevelt Scott who entered into rest July 15, 2021 at the Charlie Norwood VAMC, DD.

Mr. Scott is a 1969 graduate of W. E. Parker High School.  He attended Livingstone College is Salibury, NC.  He was the coach for the Bettis Dodgers Baseball Team.  He was a member of Hosannah Baptist Church in Modoc and a United States Army Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda Lee-Scott; his children, Rochelle V. Scott, Thaje R. Padgett, Penelope Wright, Cecilia (Donnell) Smith, DeJuan Lee, and Robert (Morgan) Stewart; a sister, Mildred Scott; brothers - in - law, Alex Hammond and William Ellis; sisters - in - law, Rebena (Joseph) Tucker, Pamela Scott, and Beverly Scott; seven grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2021 at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed. Interment will be in Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Monday, July 26, 2021. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
