Obituary
It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announced the transition of Mr. Sylvester "Billy" McCain, Sr. who entered into rest April 22, 2023.
He was the son of the late Willie K. McCain and Henrietta Morgan McCain, born on May 4, 1932 in Edgefield County, SC. He was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church and a former member of Carey Hill Baptist Church, Clarks Hill, SC.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Felder McCain; his children, Sylvester "Sly" (Felicia) McCain, Regina (James) Salley, Melvin McCain, Verdie (Stefan) Lewis and Rasheema McCain; a sister, Julia McCain Simpkins; eleven grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, May 1, 2023 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Brooklyn, New York with the pastor Sean Lee presiding and the Rev. Maurice McCrae officiating. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
