Obituary
It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Tommie L. Watkins who entered into rest July 14, 2023.
Mr. Watkins, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Simmon Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired Chef.
Survivors include two daughters, Shenika Watkins of Trenton, SC and Sheena Patterson of Arizona; two sons, Keith (Evette) Watkins of Anderson, SC and Cornelius Watkins of Edgefield, SC; his parents, Bennie Lee and Annie Willie Watkins of Trenton, SC; five sisters, Gloria (Rev. Charles) Price of Oceanside, CA, Allison Dobbs of Clearwater, SC, Lugenia Watkins of Augusta, GA, Linda Watkins of Johnston, SC and Tonya Watkins of Charlotte, NC; four brothers, Jimmy (Louise) Watkins of Trenton, SC, Cleveland (Sadie) Watkins of Aiken, SC, Ben Watkins of Johnston, SC and Charles Wallace; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Simmon Ridge Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family is receiving guests at the home of his parents (128 Egghouse Road, Johnston, SC.)
