It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Tyrone J. Garnett who entered into rest May 17, 2022.
Mr. Garnett was a 1987 graduate of McCormick High School and a 2009 graduate of Le Cordon Bleu. Whiling attending culinary arts school, Tyrone worked at some of Atlanta's most prestigious restaurants, The Corner Cafe' and Chops Lobster Bar. He also worked for Very Vera and Finch & Fifth in Surrey Center as a chef.
Survivors include his mother, Rosa Marshall Garnett; a sister, Amelodie Garnett-Wiggins (James) and a brother, Timothy Garnett (Natasha); his beloved dog daughter, Ziza India Garnett; devoted friends, Deke and Malisa Copenhaver, Craig Freeman, Jermaine Temple, Mary Yeck and Roosevelt Roscoe and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday at First Mount Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Brisco officiating. Interment will be in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-6 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
