It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Walter A. "Ted" Simpkins who entered into rest July 3, 2022.
Mr. Simpkins, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Annie Williams of Aiken, SC; two sons, Kolinski (Camilla) Simpkins of Lawrenceville, GA, and Reggie (Crystal) Simpkins of Statesboro, GA; four sisters, Mary Simpkins of Edgefield, SC, Carolyn Brightharp of North Augusta, SC, Winifred Adams of Augusta, GA, and Melba Levern Hillary of North Augusta, SC; one brother, Woodrow (Ruby) Simpkins of Edgefield, SC; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Bethlehem Baptist Church where the Rev. Leonard Franklin, Jr. is the pastor and the Rev. Edward Lloyd eulogist. There will be NO PUBLIC VIEWING. The service will be live-streamed via the G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Facebook Page.
