Willie Talbert Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Willie J. “Butch” Talbert who entered into rest on October 19, 2021.

 

Mr. Talbert was a 1980 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School and attended Aiken Technical College.  After graduation, he joined the United States Army where he served many years and had several tours overseas.  After active duty from the military, he also served over 20 years in the United States National Guard and worked with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Department.  He was an Army Veteran and a member of Carey Hill Baptist Church.

 

Left to cherish his memories include a son, Bradley (Kenya) Talbert; a daughter, JaTara (Antonio) Settles; three grandchildren, Mila Talbert, Kaliah Settles, and King David Settles; his mother, Florence McCain Talbert; his father, Allen P. Talbert, Sr.; two brothers, Allen (Maggie) Talbert, Jr.; Kenneth Talbert; three sisters, Lorraine Talbert-Burt; Betty (Rev. Wayne) Fitch and Fredericka (Charles) Truesdell; two godchildren, Jazmin Truesdell and Kailey Cabrera; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

 

Viewing will be held from 1:00PM until 4:00PM, Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the funeral home.  

 

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM, Monday, October 25, 2021 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with Elder Alfred McCain officiating.

 

Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
