It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Elvis Gilchrist who entered into rest Friday, April 9, 2021 at Carlyle Senior Care Aiken.

Mr. Gilchrist was a member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Edgefield.

Survivors include two daughters, Jakeeda Gilchrist, Philadelphia, PA and Sakaila Gilchrist, Elloree, SC; one son, Dantoneo Williams, Philadelphia, PA; mother, Josie Mae Gilchrist, Edgefield; four sisters, Janie Odom, Linda Robinson, both of Aiken, Almena Gilchrist, Warrenville, and Darlene Vedrine, Edgefield; two brothers, Larry Key, Aiken, and Ernest (Barbara) Gilchrist, Williston; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 17, 2021 on the grounds of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Myers officiating. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
