It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Francis L. Plater who entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

Mr. Plater, a native of Hughesville, MD was a mechanic and a United States Navy Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Talbert Plater; a brother, Preston Plater; four sisters, Jamane Stone, Josephine Dallas, Mary Brisco and Gloria Plater; a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Mr. Francis L. Plater in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private, family only, service for their loved one. While the Plater family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions.

A Public Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, January 1, 2021 at the funeral home. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed.
