It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. George Morton who entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Morton was a native of Edgefield County. Survivors include a sister, Florence (Charles) Jones, a brother, Nathaniel P. Morton; one aunt, Sadie Bell Young; two sisters-in-law, Alberta Morton and Rosa Lee Morton; brother-in-law, Rufus McManus; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, February 19, 2021 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Interment will be in Old Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-6 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
