It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. James A. Covington who entered into eternal rest Monday, February 15, 2021 at Edgefield Healthcare.

Survivors include a devoted companion, Joan Pickens; four sisters, Barbara Ann Brown, Maggie Sims, Shirley Williams, and Janice Calhoun (Jesse); five brothers, Thomas L. Covington, Sr. (Catherine), Charles W. Covington (Michelle), Malcolm Covington, Barry Covington (Erica), and James Covington; one granddaughter, Dominique Shade' Wideman; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2021 at New China Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
