It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Melvin J. Jackson who entered into rest August 31, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Mr. Jackson, a native of Aiken County, was the son of the late Patricia Jackson and Oscar Butler.

Survivors include his wife, Shea Coleman Jackson; two daughters; Mellena Jackson and Octavia Bush both of Aiken, SC; two sons; Kel Harris of Tennesse and Quan Walker of Graniteville, SC; stepchildren, Marlana Coleman, Ashley Coleman, and Ricky Coleman all of North Augusta, SC; four sisters, Tikisha (Darryl) Crawford of North Augusta, SC, Tyronda Butler, Tenika Jackson both of Graniteville, SC, and Trishun Milhouse of Columbia, SC; four brothers, Timothy (Alexis) Jackson of Beech Island, SC, Ronald Jackson, Adrian Drayton, and Andre Butler all of Graniteville, SC; five grandchildren; maternal grandmother, Rosa Mae Jackson; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the Bettis Academy Memorial Park with the Rev., Dr. Calvin Jackson officiating. Mask and Social Distancing will be encouraged. There will be NO PUBLIC VIEWING.
